Your starting prompt.

Compare closed-won deals with issued invoices for [period]. Use deal references and contract billing dates to identify deals that should already have an invoice. Separate genuine missing invoices from future installments, credits and timing differences. Show the expected billing amount, supporting contract term and accountable owner for each exception. Prepare a review list without creating or sending invoices.

Copy this starting point, then replace the placeholders with your own inputs.

Method and review

Keep the assumptions visible.

Agree on identifiers, currency, periods and account mappings before comparing totals. Keep unmatched records and timing differences visible instead of forcing a match.

For this task, check

DealExpected nowGapReview
D-1$1,200$1,200Missing invoice; owner review
D-2$0$0Future billing date
D-3$500$0Current installment covered

Method

Apply each supplied billing term at the review date, then subtract issued invoices carrying that deal reference. Future installments are excluded from the current expected amount.

What the result tells you

Only D-1 is currently unbilled under these terms. D-2 and the second D-3 installment are timing differences. This review creates no invoices and confirms no collection.
