Your starting prompt.
Build a pricing scenario App from our subscriber, plan and variable-cost records for [period]. Let me change proposed prices, migration rates and churn assumptions by plan. Show recurring revenue, contribution margin and customer counts for the baseline and each scenario, with the formulas visible. Separate observed customer behavior from assumptions about response to new prices. Keep the output as a decision tool for the pricing owner.
Copy this starting point, then replace the placeholders with your own inputs.
Method and review
Keep the assumptions visible.
State the hypothesis, baseline, unit economics and decision rule. Compare total contribution and uncertainty, and separate modeled scenarios from measured experimental results.
For this task, check
Historic churn at existing prices does not identify how customers will respond to a new price; expose that response as an assumption.

Synthetic illustrative example
See the method in practice.
Synthetic input. Illustrative output checked locally; this is not a live Proforma run or customer result. Monthly plans. Scenario assumptions: prices increase 10%, 10% of subscribers churn in every plan, no migration and unchanged per-customer variable cost.
These invented records explain the method. They are not a recorded Proforma run.
| Plan | Current subscribers | Monthly price | Variable cost / subscriber |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 100 | $100 | $20 |
| Team | 50 | $200 | $50 |
| Scale | 10 | $500 | $100 |
| Plan | Projected subscribers | Scenario MRR | Scenario contribution |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 90 | $9,900 | $8,100 |
| Team | 45 | $9,900 | $7,650 |
| Scale | 9 | $4,950 | $4,050 |
Method
Projected subscribers = current × (1 − assumed churn). MRR = projected subscribers × current price × (1 + price change). Contribution = MRR − projected subscribers × variable cost. Fractional customers would be expected values. Fixed and acquisition costs are excluded.
What the result tells you
Baseline MRR $25,000; scenario MRR $24,750. Baseline contribution $19,500; scenario $19,800. Churn is an assumption, not observed price response. This is an App calculation preview, not a live price change.
